Type of mutation: Buford Bronze Blackshoulder Spaldings are a combination of the bronze color mutation and the blackshoulder pattern mutation, and are a hybrid between the Blue and Green species.
Peacock Coloration: Bronze Blackshoulder Spaldings have the typical, dark iridescent brown coloration of normal Bronze, but their wings are a solid brown nearly as dark as the rest of their body, rather than the typical lighter brown and white barring. They exhibit varying amounts of green traits, including longer legs, a taller, tighter crest, and yellow facial skin.
Peahen Coloration: Hens exhibit the typical blackshoulder white with dark splotching on their backs, although this splotching is more brown than black. They have a patch of dark brown and green iridescence at the back of their neck. They also show the green traits of longer legs, taller, tighter crest and yellow facial skin.
Do they breed true?: The bronze and blackshoulder traits breed true, but offspring may show varying degrees of Spalding traits.
