Originally, Opal Blackshoulders were known as Jettas, but that name never was as well known as Oaten, perhaps due to the newness and rarity of the Opal color compared to Cameo.
Type of mutation: Opal Blackshoulders are a combination of the opal color mutation and the blackshoulder pattern mutation.
Peacock Coloration: Opal Blackshoulders have the typical grayish-brown with aquamarine tint of regular Opals, but their wings are solid brown.
Peahen Coloration: Hens resemble regular blackshoulders with light gray splotching on their backs.
Do they breed true?: Yes, Opal Blackshoulders will breed true.
