Type of mutation: Opal Silver Pieds are a combination of the opal color mutation and the silver pied pattern mutation.
Peacock Coloration: Opal Silver Pied males are mostly white, but with patches of original aquamarine tinted gray Opal coloration, especially on their neck. Any colored ocelli should have white in the middle.
Peahen Coloration: Opal Silver Pied hens are mostly white with patches of gray coloring. They often look quite similar to Blue Silver Pieds.
Do they breed true?: No, Opal Silver Pieds will not breed true. They produce approximately 50% Opal Silver Pieds, 25% White (dominant for opal) and 25% Opal White Eyeds.
