Peach Spalding

A newer mutation, (although older than Midnight and Jade), Peach colored peafowl are still relatively hard to find. Peach Spaldings are even rarer.
Type of mutation: Peach Spaldings are hybrid birds exhibiting the peach color.
Peacock Coloration: Males are a orangish brown color that is much lighter than the other brown peafowl (cameo and buford bronze). The wings and tail fade to a very light, almost off-white color. As with all good Spalding birds, Peach Spaldings have a leaner, taller body, a tight crest and a patch of yellow facial skin.
Peahen Coloration: Hens look like lighter cameo hens, with a light, almost off-white body and a darker neck similar in color to the males'.
Peachick Coloration: Chicks are similar to cameo chicks in color, a light orangish brown.
Origin: Peach was discovered in the early 1990s and introduced to spaldings shortly afterwards.
Do they breed true?: The Peach color will breed true, but the amount of Spalding characteristics does not. Peach is also a sex-linked color, like Cameo and Purple.
